Gestalt Therapy

A form of psychotherapy that helps you to become more aware of yourself and your surroundings. It is holistic, and based on the belief that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are all interconnected.

The goal of gestalt therapy is to help you to become more present in the moment, and to live your life more fully. I will help you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and to learn how to accept and integrate them into your life.

Gestalt therapy can be helpful for a variety of issues, such as:

  • Relationship problems

  • Low self-esteem

  • Trauma

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

Here are some of the key concepts of gestalt therapy:

The here and now: Gestalt therapy focuses on the present moment, and on helping you to become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and sensations in the moment.

Unfinished business: Gestalt therapy believes that we can experience emotional pain if we do not complete unfinished business from the past. I will support you to identify and complete unfinished business, so that you can move on with your life.

Contact: Gestalt therapy believes that we are all interconnected with the world around us. The therapist will help you to improve your ability to make contact with yourself, with others, and with the world around you.

Awareness: Gestalt therapy believes that awareness is the key to change. The therapist will help you to become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and sensations, so that you can make more conscious choices in your life.

Gestalt helps you to become more conscious and intentional in your life.

It is an experiential therapy, which means that you will be actively involved in the process.

It can be challenging at times, as you will be asked to confront your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. However, if you are willing to put in the work, gestalt therapy can be a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation.
